Injuries, suspensions, transfer rumours, and more around the world of football

In the course of the last couple of days in the world of football – champions have been crowned, injuries and suspensions have pulled down some of the best clubs in the world and names have been rumoured to transfer to different clubs.

In the French Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain have clinched after victory against Lyon. However, they would have to do it without Thiago Silva who is currently serving a 2 match suspension which will extend up to their match against Brest. Also, the championship contenders would most likely have to be without their sporting director Leonardo who was suspended until further notice by the French Football League’s disciplinary committee for his actions at the match against Valenciennes. Reports say that he allegedly barged intentionally into referee Alexandre Castro in the tunnel after the match.

Italian club Internazionale watch as their roster continue to deteriorate due to injuries with 2 new injured players joining their sidelined team mates outside the playing field. Both Cicero Moreira Jonathan (shoulder injury) and Andrea Ranocchia (hamstring injury) left the match that they lost against Lazio with injuries. As of the moment, Inter has 15 injured players in their roster and 7 have been ruled out of this season for quite some time now.

Recent Champions League competitors Bayern Munich and Barcelona are continuing their battle outside the field to get Borussia Dortmund star Robert Lewandowski to sign with their respective clubs. Joining the mix is English Premier League’s Chelsea who also want to offer the Polish football player € 25 million to wear the blue jersey for next season.

Newly crowned Danish Superliga champions FC Copenhagen, might lose their starting goal keeper Johan Wiland to Swedish football club AIK Stockholm according to some transfer rumours. But there are still some good speculations that FC Copenhagen and Wiland will still make it to good terms with a possible contract extension.

Warming up the much anticipated opening of the transfer window is Bundesliga’s Vfb Stuttgart who recently signed midfielder Marco Rojas of New Zealand on a 4-year contract. Bayer Leverkusen’s Daniel Schwaab is also set to transfer to his new Bundesliga home in Vfb Stuttgart with a contract lasting until year 2016.
