Nice player Kevin Anin in car injury
In our latest injury news, Kevin Anin of Ligue 1’s Nice has been severely injured after a road accident last Monday night. Anin suffered a serious spinal column injury and injured both arms when the car he was riding went off the road, and then flipped and crashed. Medical personnel are still attending to his injuries but it is feared that his back injury has potential of leaving the 26 year old midfielder paralyzed.

Jose Mourinho back at Chelsea
On lighter news, Jose Mourinho returns to Chelsea and expectations are high for the manager to elevate the Blues to domination in the English Premier League. The returning Chelsea manager stated that he had no regrets about his three controversial years with the Spanish club Real Madrid. The Portuguese football manager has signed a four year contract with the English Club.

Andros Townsend in betting scandal
More EPL news as Tottenham winger Andros Townsend has been banned from all football for four months after breaching betting regulations. He was also fined £ 18.000 for the misconduct. Townsend said via social medias that he fully accepts the disciplinary action and will not appeal the decision. He also mentioned that it is a very regrettable event for him but he still plans to return to football after his suspension is over and just move forward from there.

Italian transfer window extended
Over at Serie A, the Italian football league extended their transfer window up to the 2nd of September, however they refused to lift the limits for non-EU players. There were some earlier speculations about extending the transfer window for Serie A and now it has been officially confirmed in a general meeting. The transfer window for Italy’s Serie A will now be from the 1st of July to the 2nd of September. FIGC President Giancarlo Abete stated that their objective with the ruling is to ensure that the players who will go to the Italian league will be top quality players.

Robert Lewandowski to Bayern Munich?
The transfer window is fast approaching and one of the hottest transfer rumours would have to be about the football superstar from Poland, Robert Lewandowski. It is confirmed that the Bundesliga and Champions League second placer Borussia Dortmund and the 25 year old striker have been in agreement with regards to this issue, as Lewandowski is set to join any club of his liking this summer. Currently he is being linked to their Bundesliga rivals of Bayern Munich who also beat Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
