Many things can happen within the transfer window. With just one transfer, it could perhaps change the tides on a particular league. One might even say that it could even create a chain reaction in the world of football. Let’s take a look at the latest transfers and see how it might rattle certain leagues.
Robert Lewandowski, now a part of Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich has once again wounded their league rivals Borussia Dortmund, by acquiring one of their key players, Robert Lewandowski. Bayern Munich and Lewandowski have agreed on a 5-year contract that will take effect next season and will end in June 2019. Just last summer, Borussia Dortmund lost the services of Mario Gotze to Bayern Munich, and now with Lewandowski going the same direction, it is unknown where this would leave Borussia Dortmund in the league standings. The only certainty is that they must find a quick solution for the loss, if they still want to be the prime contender for the title that Bayern holds.
First recruit of Malaga in the winter break is Newell’s Old Boys’ Pablo Perez
The Argentinian midfielder is eager to join Malaga as he wants to experience the type of play in Europe. Malaga has been longing to get Perez from the Argentine based club, but it is only now that both parties have reached an agreement. Perez is actually the second option for Malaga, as they originally wanted to get midfielder Jose Sosa who is going to Atletico Madrid instead. Hopefully, Pablo Perez would give that boost within the middle of the field for Malaga, and rack up those points to move up in the rankings.
Lacina Traore has signed with French club Monaco, but appears to be set for a loan move
The Ivorian striker Lacina Traore has completed a move from the Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala to French club AS Monaco. The tall striker has found a new home, but this might be temporary, as AS Monaco is immediately looking to put Traore on loan which will have him play the second half of the season for West Ham in England. Traore would be a big help for West Ham as they are in dire need of aid to avoid relegation.

Aleksandr Hleb left Arsenal for Barcelona back in 2008, and since then his career went to a downward spiral. Being a free agent, he has now signed with Konyaspor and is looking to be a main man again. Hleb has a positive output with the move and even stating in an interview that “I’m very happy that I’m here. Turkey is known for its fanatical supporters. I think this is a nice gesture and I hope to be of value to Konyaspor”.
