The opening of the 2013/14 Danish Superliga season is here and all the clubs are preparing to have a great season. Some clubs and players are actually in a race against time to quickly overcome their injuries and be 100% fit to play their respective matches over the weekend. Listed below are the latest injury updates on some of those players who are in that race.
Kenneth Emil Petersen (AaB) – Back in training
There are very high hopes from AaB that Kenneth Emil Petersen will be ready to play in their match on Sunday but those are still just hopes. He was excluded from their recent Europa League match because until today he is not yet fully fit to compete. He is currently training with the rest of the team and if it all goes well we could see him in action for their season opener.
Mohamed Alimou Diarra, Emil Larsen, & Mads Toppel (OB) – Back in training
OB players Diarra, Larsen and Toppel are all hoping to get ready for their upcoming match over the weekend. But so far they have not been cleared to play for their match against SønderjyskE. There are already a couple of players who won’t be available to play for that match so OB is really aiming to have these three players ready to play the opener.
Martin Braithwaite (Esbjerg fB) – Doubtful
EFB’s Martin Braithwaite is questionable for their season opener as he recovers from a ankle injury that has bothered him since last month. The 22 year old seeks to overcome this injury frustration as he is also expected to be fit for their very important first match.
