“Glory! Glory! Man United!” is usually the battle cry of Manchester United fans, but recently it has been hard for them to cheer for the Red Devils. Since the beginning of the season, the Red Devils had been on an up and down battle as they have been inconsistent in their performance. Manager David Moyes is trying his best to lift up again the banner of the club but has been unsuccessful since inheriting the team from Sir Alex Ferguson. Injuries has also plagued the team in their attack but it seems that business is about to resume in those flanks.
POSSIBLE RETURN FOR ATTACKING DUO
It’s been grueling for David Moyes as there have been a lack of fire power in his attack since losing Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie to injuries.
Wayne Rooney (Groin Injury – Back in Training)
The Red Devil striker has been nursing a groin injury since the start of the year. Rooney was even sent to Egypt to train with a fitness coach because of the warm weather in the location, plus, to avoid attention from the media. Once Rooney is ready to return, it will be a boost for the club as one of their main gunners could be available to produce the much needed goals for them. On a side note, Rooney’s future at the Old Trafford is still uncertain, as he still hasn’t signed an extension with the club, with only 18 months left of his contract.
Robin van Persie (Thigh Injury – Back in Training)
It has been an ugly season for van Persie. He has only featured for the Red Devils eleven times in the Premier League and scored seven goals. As van Persie goes back to training with the club, there will be a bright light for manager David Moyes because his attacking duo could possibly be available soon. It would be extremely important that they will get back into winning mode again because we are at the crucial point of the Premiere League season.
MIDFIELD SITUATION
There has been lack of creativity this season for the Red Devils, with regards to their midfield. Even though Marouane Fellaini is back in training with the club, there’s still a name that is continuously buzzing around that is being envisioned to potentially give a boost to the club’s lack of creativeness and experience in the center field. That player is Chelsea star, Juan Mata.
Juan Mata could sign with the Red Devils
Juan Mata has been left out of Chelsea’s Rotation since former Real Madrid boss, Jose Mourinho, took charge of the club. It has been reported by Sports Mole that Man U could sign Juan Mata by the end of the week with a bid of £37 million. Despite of Man U not wanting to sell Rooney to Chelsea, it has been reported that the Blues are willing to let go of Mata, and might even be used as a bargaining chip for Rooney.
